Mr. Amado Mancha's Obituary
Amado (Mayo) Mancha, passed away on Tuesday February 5, 2013 at the age of 73. He passed away peacefully and the Houston Hospice Hospital. He is preceded in death by his parents Urbano and Rosenda Mancha, his brothers Guadalupe, Domingo, Jesus, and Miguel Mancha. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Maria (Mary Lou) Mancha; son, Larry Mancha; daughters, Sandra and Virginia Mancha; sisters, Rosie Viveros and Mary Lou Vargas; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
Mayo was raised in Corpus Christi, TX. And in 1967 moved his family to Houston, TX. He attended Roy Miller High School and received his GED and his certification as a machinist from San Jacinto High School. He worked as a machinist at Texsteam Corp. where he retired and also worked at Reed Rock Bid. He had a passion for hunting and fishing. He was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Pearland, Texas. Honoring Mayo as pallbearers will be his son Larry Mancha and nephews Urbano (Urby) Mancha, Aaron Mancha, Eric Viveros, Gabriel Hernandez, David Navarro, Jason Canas, Jeff Viveros and Guadalupe (JR) Mancha.
Visitation will start at 5:00 and Rosary at 7:00 pm on Sunday February 10, 2013 at SouthPark Funeral and interment will be at 11:00 am on Monday February 11, 2012 at St/ Helen Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Road, Pearland, Texas 77581, 281-485-2421.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Association.
