Alvaro Villarreal Quilantan Jr.'s Obituary
Alvaro V. Quilantan Jr., of Lyford, Texas, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 25, 2018. Born in Raymondville, Texas to Alvaro Sr. and Sofia Quilantan, he lived most of his life in South Houston, Texas.
Al was a passionate man who enjoyed a simple life and always put others first. He worked at Maxwell House Coffee for 46 years. In his spare time, he would spend time with his grandsons and watching every type of sports.
Al was extremely loving and proud of his three children, Rhonda Garza and her husband John, of Pearland, Jason Quilantan and his wife Nat of Manvel, and Adrian Quilantan of South Houston. Al’s ultimate pride and joy were his grandsons, Eric and Andrew Garza of Pearland, Texas.
He is also survived by the mother of his children, Teresa D. Quilantan of San Benito, his sister Solia Saldivar, of Pearland; his three brothers, Abel Quilantan of Houston, Adam Quilantan of Dallas, and Albert Quilantan of Cuero, Texas; as well as his many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 2, 2018 from 10:00 until 12:00 PM at the South Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1310 N Main St. Pearland, Teas 77581. Services will begin at 12:00 PM and burial to follow at 1:30 PM. Food and refreshments will be served immediately following at his daughter’s home in Pearland.
