Mr. Allen James Rogers' Obituary
Allen James Rogers left us to be in the loving arms of our Lord, on November 14, 2018 at the age of 77. He was born to Albert James and Emma L. Rogers in Houston, Texas. Allen enjoyed a career as a teacher, Systems Analyst and Landman, and so enjoyed teaching others no matter what the subject matter . His favorite hobby was saltwater fishing, which he always enjoyed when at his beach home in Matagorda, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Judy, daughter, Stephanie Chapman (Joe), son Jason Rogers (Cyndi), sister Benita Pierucci (Larry), stepsons Neil Cupples (Susan), Chris Cupples (Cheryl) and Tim Cupples (Naomi), thirteen grandchildren, who affectionately called him "Uncle Grandpa" and "Grandpa Quack Quack", a niece and nephew and great niece and nephew. Allen's sense of humor was legendary and he was happiest when spending time with his family. He loved all things "outdoors" and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
The Rogers family will be receiving friends and family on Friday, November 16, 2018 at SouthPark Funeral Home starting at 12:30 PM for a visitation. Funeral service will start at 2:00 PM with interment to follow at SouthPark Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity of their choice.
