Mr. Alfred "Ray" Glass Jr.'s Obituary
Alfred Raymond “Ray” Glass, Jr.
Ray was born in Houston in January of 1941. He was the only child of Alfred Raymond Glass and Clara Osborn Glass both of whom preceded him in death. He passed away in his home in November of 2015.
Inurnment is Wednesday, January 20th at 11: a.m. at South Park funeral Home in Pearland.
After graduating from Stephen F. Austin High School in Houston in 1959 he attended The University of Texas in Austin. He graduated in 1964 with a Bachelor of Business Administration.
After serving in the Army he returned to Houston and worked for Dresser Industries. For Dresser he traveled to Europe and lived for several years in Africa.
For the last thirty-five years Ray owned the family business, Glass Machine Shop.
Ray was a great story teller who could make everyday circumstances interesting to hear about again and again. He was a good bowler and golfer.
Ray is survived by his family, Julie Crider and her husband David, and Wesley Crider and Tara Crider. Ray had many extended family members, also. Relatives and friends may visit [email protected].
