Mrs. Aleyamma Thomas' Obituary
Aleyamma Thomas (Gracy) , age 67 was born on November 17, 1946 as the second daughter to late Mariamma and N.M Abraham of the Niravel Family, in Prakkanam, Pathanamthitta, Kerala ,India. She finished her school of Nursing from Frances Newton Hospital, Punjab, India and then immigrated to United States in 1975 and lived in Chicago for 6 years.
In 1977 she married Mr. George Thomas, son of late Rachel and P.V George of Pulimoottil family, Mavelikara. In 1981 with her husband and 2 sons, she moved to Pasadena, TX. Gracy was an active member of St. Thomas Orthodox Cathedral from its early years. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Bayshore Medical Center, Pasadena, TX from 1981 until 2011 when she was initially diagnosed with breast cancer.
Though her health continued to decline, she kept the strong faith in God. She was a very loving, caring, God Fearing and extremely generous. She led a very prayerful life and always lived for others.
She is survived by her husband, George Thomas, eldest son Saje Thomas and his wife Agnus Thomas, younger son Shebey Thomas and her niece Reny Mathew.
We are thankful to God for her life and the service she rendered to everyone. Her love, generosity and hospitality will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
