Mr. Alejandro Papilla Macasieb's Obituary
Alejandro Papilla Macasieb passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at the age of 81 in Pearland, Texas. Ador/Alex was born in Malasiqui, Philippines on May 18, 1938. He is preceded in death by his parents, Silvino and Emilia Macasieb and his 5 brothers, Sylvester, Geronimo, Silvino Jr, Hermenigildo and Rodolfo.
Ador/Alex was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He is survived by his wife Eugenia, his three daughters and their husbands, Daisy and Hung Pham, Arlene and Angel Diaz, and Cecile and Andrew Reynolds and his nine grandchildren, Christopher and Michael Pham, Amri, Arianna and Alexia Diaz, and Laurenn, Rachel, Brooke and Mark Reynolds.
Ador/Alex graduated as a chemical engineer in the Philippines and worked at the Union Carbide Corporation until he immigrated his family to the United States of America to allow them the opportunity for a brighter future. He worked long hours at different chemical
plants to provide for his family as they started their new life. He and his wife emphasized education, hard work and commitment to his children and grandchildren and set an example for them. He ended his working career with the US Postal Office. He made this
career change in order to ensure stability in his later years for his wife and children.
Ador/Alex’s retirement years were spent with the ones he loved most: his wife, children and especially his grandchildren, who lovingly knew him as Papa. These years allowed him to spend time working on his yard alongside his wife. It also enabled him to help take care of his grandchildren and enjoy eating lunch at school with them for many years. This made him and his wife a permanent fixture at the family lunch table on the Marek Elementary stage for a very long time. Alejandro was a part of a very close family, and he will be missed so much.
The family and friends of the Macasieb family are invited to the visitation at South Park Funeral Home located at 1310 N. Main St., Pearland, Texas 77581 on Friday afternoon at 3PM. Rosary to be at 3:30PM. The funeral service will follow at 4PM. Alejandro will
be laid to rest immediately following at South Park Cemetery.
