Mr. Alan Carl Houle Sr.'s Obituary
Alan Carl Houle Sr., born July 11, 1957 in Hollywood, California passed away at his home on May 11, 2011 after a long battle with diabetes and kidney failure. He is preceded in death by his father Edmund Houle, Sr. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Karen; their three children, Alan Jr., Rachel and Megan; grandson, Gage; mother, Ofelia Houle and a host of many other family and friends. Alan has traveled and lived throughout the US, his passion for life drove him to have many hobbies; such as, brewing beer, playing base guitar, and collecting several different types of antiques and toys. He enjoyed spending time outside camping, fishing and hunting. Alan was a genuine, strong willed, passionate loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday May 19, 2011 at 12:30pm in The Chapel of South Park Funeral Home, with committal to follow in South Park Cemetery. A gathering of friends and family will take place at the home of his sister, Mary Knight, immediately following. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made in Alan's honor to the American Diabetes Association.
