Soza, Adam's Obituary
Adam Soza
Born on January 22, 1947, in Gonzales, Texas, Adam Soza passed from this life to his heavenly home on Resurrection Sunday, April 20, 2025.
Heaven has gained what Scripture declares to be a faithful servant. To his family and friends, he was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother in Christ, and dear friend. In the time given to him on earth, he exemplified faith, strength, commitment, and the power of prayer. What he held most dear, however, was his personal relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
In his final days, Adam was surrounded and supported by his loving family and caregivers. He was a man of humble service who faithfully served his church through usher ministry, Sunday school teaching, Spanish Ministry, fundraising, church cleaning, the bus ministry, and prayer. One of his greatest joys was cooking—especially on the grill—and sharing meals with his family. He loved working on cars, telling stories from his upbringing, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
His final request to his family was not to mourn him with sorrow, but to celebrate his life and rejoice—knowing that he has reached his eternal home with the Lord.
Adam is survived by his daughter, Diana Jones and husband Bob.
His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Jessi, Casey and Monica, Victor (Bubba), Robert and Abby, Johnathan and Marcy, Isaac, Jared, Nina, and Tiana. His great-grandchildren include Tori, Hailey, Bella, Alyssa, Kyle, Kayla, Olivia, Adam, Adalyn, Gracelyn, Calvin, Katelyn, Alex, and Uriyah. Adam is also survived by his siblings: Eva & Mario Mendez, Alphonso, Arthur & Martha, Alonzo & Cyndi, Angie & Victor Munoz, Albert & Priscilla as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Petra Soza, his son Victor Soza, his daughter Amy Herrera, and his granddaughter Victoria (Soza) Steckel, his parents Andrew & Cruz Soza, brother Andrew, Alfred, and sister Amelia
Adam deeply loved the Soza, Aguilar and Ovalle families and held a special place in his heart for each of them along with the countless dear friends.
