Keeping all of you in our thoughts and prayers at this time. I was a few years younger than Wanda and Jerry, who went to school at Tiffin and West Union (OH) and rode the bus with me. We currently live up the road from where the family home was on C-!(now Vaughn Ridge Road in Adams County, Ohio.

My Dad was the very best! Such a loving heart, full of integrity, a beautiful soul and the hardest working man I've ever known. He absolutely loved playing his guitar and performing in karaoke contests. Oh, how I wish I could see the angels faces when they hear his sweet voice sing!
His battle with cancer was very brief, and I'm thankful for that. I'm so glad we got to spend his last final days by his bedside. Fly with the angels, Dad. You will be missed so, and I'm so thankful you were our Father. You were a blessing to us all! Rest peacefully, sweet and precious Dad! ❤️

I feel like I should say something about Pop, but it's like you either knew him or you didn't. He had a wonderful sense of humor. It was where we intersected as people, if not father and son. He was never into math and science the way I was, and excepting the last couple of weeks, it's not unfair to think that I think country and Western is the Devil's music. So, we had a gentleman's agreement that we'd just meet at that place where everything was funny. He wouldn't make me listen to Merle Haggard, and I'd spare him from explanations about Quantum Theory.
He was my Pop and he's gone ... and though I have almost no belief whatsoever in the idea of soul, he took a piece of my soul with him.
