Lisa McClafferty Bena

April 28, 1961 - April 24, 2022

Lisa McClafferty Bena was born April 28, 1961 and passed away April 24, 2022. She was born in Peru, Indiana to James and Laura McClafferty. She was married for 13 years to Henry Bena, Jr. Her love for others and her kind nature, led her into a career in nursing for over 30 years. She earned her RN in nursing and helped many. Besides being in an administrative position at Kindred over all nurses, her last endeavor was with Octapharma. At one point, she proudly worked as a nurse for A-Med Hospice and in return, they provided love and assistance to her in her final days. The staff at A-Med Hospice was amazing and showed their love for Lisa, in the great care they provided for her. She loved her husband, her son, her stepson, her stepdaughter, her step grandchildren, her sister and both brothers. She cherished all her family and the time she was able to spend with them. Lisa had a great love for being on the water. She loved music, fishing, sailing, boating, and especially being on her 16ft catamaran. Her step-granddaughters were a true source of joy in her life. She loved them dearly and was always so creative with the activities she planned for them. She always found the best books and wrote a special message. This will be cherished for their lifetime. Lisa is survived by her husband, Henry and her son Bruce, stepdaughter, Christine Bena Sanford and husband Clay Sanford, her step-granddaughters, Callie and Cassie, her stepson, William Bena and his fiancé, Minerva; her sister, Kim McClafferty, her 2 brothers, Timothy McClafferty and wife Lisa Puffpaw and Kevin McClafferty and his wife Susan. The family would again like to offer up a heartfelt thank you for all that A-Med Hospice did for Lisa in her final months and days. The love and support of family and friends was greatly appreciated.
