On Friday, January 29, 2021, John David Barrera, Sr., passed away at the age of 58. John was born on July 4, 1962 in Snyder, TX to Joe and Antonia Barrera and was raised in Houston, TX. He resided in Pasadena, TX where he remained until his passing. John has a passion for fishing, working on lawn equipment and was known for his extraordinary tasting BBQ brisket. He was also known for his quick wit, his infectious laugh, and his kind and compassionate spirit. John was preceded in death by his father, Joe Barrera, his mother, Antonia Barrera, his wife, Jessica Barrera, his sister, Linda Barrera and his granddaughter, Brianna Barron. He is survived by his daughters, Ashley Matthews(Luke), Delilah Barrera (Robert), Sonia Brumfield (Jerry) and sons, John Barrera, Jr. & Robert Barrera, his brothers Mike, Joe, Gil, Jesse and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
