Chinyere Uzoamaka Diogu was born in Imo State eastern Nigeria on the 24th of December 1969. She was the first born of six children of Mr and Mrs Andrew and Felicia Odoemenem. She was so loved by her parents that they gave her the name UZOAMAKA meaning “The Road is Good “. She was a devoted Christian and always passionate about the things of God. She attended primary school at Holy Child College Ikoyi where she got her First School Leaving Certificate. She proceeded further to Federal Government Girls College Okigwe where she obtained her Senior Secondary School Certificate with flying colors. She went to Abia State University Uturu where she was awarded a degree in B.A (Hons) Business Management. She got her first job at RIMS merchant bank, Ikoyi Lagos Nigeria where she worked for a few months before leaving the shores of Nigeria for the United States of America. She got her first job and settled into her new life in Chicago. It was not long before she met her husband and gave birth of their first-born child a son Alfred Kalu Diogu. The following year they welcomed their second child a daughter Omenka Jessica Diogu. Chinyere Uzoamaka Diogu decided to go into the nursing profession and enrolled into nursing school to pursue a nursing career. She was able to juggle family life and studies and soon graduated to become a registered nurse practitioner by God’s special grace upon her life. The family soon welcomed the birth of their third born child a baby girl Sydney Nnaja Diogu. After many years in Chicago the family relocated to the south of America Houston Texas. She desired to have her parents closed by and made the decision to bring them over. They came to join her with the rest of the family in Houston. She worked at Memorial Hermann Hospital Houston for many years and had a close community of friends and colleagues. Chinyere’s youngest sister Ekene soon moved to the United States to join the family in 2008, and her immediate younger brother Ugochukwu came a few years later. Uzoamaka was a devoted member of The Redeemed Christian Church of God Houston Texas where she was well known and very much loved. Chinyere enjoyed spending time with her family and most of all her children. They each had a special bond with their mother and out of all her titles and accomplishments being a good mother was her greatest achievement. Chichi enjoyed taking the kids bowling and travelling to different cities and countries. She loved very bright colors and that reflects in her wardrobe and style…#INFAMOUS SUNDAY PICTURES. She had a warm, caring, always forgiving, happy to help, genuine personality. The lost of her father and her younger sibling draw her even closer to God and made her want to keep her family unit closer than ever before. She has a remarkably close relationship with her mother and her siblings which will stay in their hearts forever. After a few weeks in hospital on the 7th of March 2021 she went to be with the Lord in Glory. Although we never ever wanted to say goodbye so soon, we know that to be absent in the body is to be present with the Lord. You only had to meet her once for her to make a long lasting and positive impression. Chichi will never be forgotten and can never be replaced until we meet again. Goodnight CHICHI we will see you again in the morning.
