Carrie Lorraine Anderson Skiba Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Carrie Lorraine Anderson Skiba was born in Houston, Texas on May 6, 1965 to parents, Richie Anderson and Lynn Balshaw Anderson. She is survived by her loving husband of 16 years, Bob Skiba, her Father, Richie Anderson and wife, Diana Alderman, Mother, Lynn Balshaw Anderson, her wonderful children Ross Lebeau, Leah Lebeau, Morgan Skiba and Corey Skiba, her sister, Kelly Anderson Glover, brother-inlaw, Randy Glover, brother, Dane Anderson, stepsister, Jennifer Alderman, mother-in-law, Donna Skiba, her many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles and cousins. Carrie was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Doris and Richard Anderson, her maternal grandmother, Gwen Balshaw, and many beloved pets. Carrie grew up in Alief and attended Alief Elsik High School. She graduated from Southwest Texas University in San Marcos with a B.A. in Communications. After graduation she returned to Houston to begin her 33-year long career in pharmaceutical sales. Carrie’s skill at building relationships with everyone she met made her much loved by her coworkers and doctors’ office staff. Carrie was a celebrated leader in her industry, receiving multiple awards and accolades throughout her career. She lived most of her adult life in Cypress, where she and Bob made a beautiful home together. Most important to Carrie were her family and friends, whom she loved dearly. She and Bob recently celebrated the 16th anniversary of the day they were happily married on the beach in Cozumel, Mexico, surrounded by loved ones. Carrie will be remembered for hosting many parties for family and friends— parties filled with love, laughter, and great food. She enjoyed riding with Bob on his Harley, taking road trips, spending time at the beach, and going on adventures. Their travels took them to Europe, Japan, Hawaii, Caribbean, Mexico, as well as many states across the US. Carrie was a person who always had a project. When she wasn’t gardening or remodeling her house, she was doing jazzercise, scuba diving with Bob, or spending time with family. She nurtured her faith at Salem Lutheran Church in Tomball, Texas. Carrie was always the first to wish all of her family and friends Happy Birthday or Happy Anniversary. In the last 2.5 years, she absolutely adored and doted on her newest nephew, Jackson Thomas Glover. Carrie was one of the most thoughtful and loving people you could meet and she will be remembered as the light of all our lives. Her family and friends will miss her forever. She will be watching over all of us from heaven, guarding and guiding us while she waits to see us again. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at M.D. Anderson for their expertise and kindness during Carrie’s illness and the many friends who expressed their love and support.
